The expansion of The Oregon Center for Creative Learning

We’re working to secure 111 Fir Street! The new home of the Ivy School will offer nine additional classrooms, custom sensory and therapy suites, larger play areas, and on-site training facilities to better serve our community.

Our proposed project increases capacity for all, the majority in need of childcare support in order to work and provide housing, food security and stability for the family.

The Gathering Grove- The home of a lot of our drop-in programs, The Gathering Grove is a wonderfully cozy learning space, where children can read, dance, and explore!
The Makery Studio- Our ensuite studio has everything needed to make what your child’s mind dreams up.
The Tinker Bar- A fully equipped assemble and reassemble bar with tinker tools.
Lyn’s Little Learners- Designed for our littlest of guests, this area is perfect for ages 0-3

The Steam Forest- Our STEAM-powered Forest, as in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math, is a groundbreaking exhibit that comprises 4 main exhibits and several smaller interactive experiences.

This new building will add over 30,000 square feet of space to the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon campus, more than doubling its current facility. This strategic expansion will provide:

9 additional licensed preschool classrooms: Increasing educational capacity by 40%.
Workforce Training: A dedicated facility for 250+ participants to engage in professional development.
Community Infrastructure: New therapy and sensory rooms and flexible event spaces, including a rooftop and community area for regional programming.
Creative Resources: A production studio to develop educational content and support community partners.
Enhanced Accessibility: The addition of dedicated parking and expanded outdoor play areas for families.
